I am a Chicago, Illinois native. I am currently pursing my Master of Science in Journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. I am a recent 2022 Agnes Scott College graduate where I received a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology with a minor in Human Rights and Film Media Studies.

From a young age, I have always been fascinated with how societies and cultures differ all around the world. When I chose sociology and anthropology as my academic concentration, I believed that it would expose me to more than just my hometown of Chicago, which is all I knew.

After studying abroad in Accra, Ghana, working with and interviewing a group of Effutufo women of Winneba, I realized that it was the precipice of the unknown. This gap in my knowledge and experiences sparked my intellectual curiosity and became the impetus for discovering my interests and my purpose of becoming a video and broadcast journalist and sharing stories of communities worldwide.

I am dedicated to interviewing and reporting news that shines a light on exceptional people, create enthusiastic visual works that make communities excited to engage with the news.
